soooo, remember when we all got a little bit nostalgic for the old web with contests, polls, and other interactive goodies back in april?

after starting work on the planned interactive corner in march, I kinda lost motivation. but the feedback was so wholesome that I actually thought, "why not?"

I never really liked our old fun corner in the first place because... well, where was the actual fun? so todaaaay, I present to you the brand new fun corner!

the code is a total mess by now. it was my first time working with custom handmade svg icons, mostly because I wanted them adjustable via css instead of exporting five different versions for all the themes. some of it was way out of my comfort zone, so if you run into any weird bugs, please let me know!

some things are still missing. I had so many ideas that a few of them basically morphed into massive standalone projects. instead of keeping everything on hold until those are done, I decided to just drop what's ready now. the rest will come in a few weeks, months, or whenever this horrible heat wave finally ends.

there's a weekly doodle challenge now, by the way! go check it out, I hope you love it as much as I loved making it. <3 we also have some polls live. plus, this will be the new home for seasonal events like our advent calendar, so it's actually worth checking out from time to time now.

all the games got a shiny new look, but while updating them, I finally deleted tic tac toe and rock paper scissors because they've always been incredibly boring. instead, you get a new game called emojify where you guess words from emojis! I already have ideas for more, but I really need a break first.
